Reforno reads your POS exports and invoices to answer plain-English questions. Here's exactly what that does and doesn't mean for your data.
What stays out of Ask Reforno
When you ask about your numbers, Reforno prepares business summaries from your selected shop. These details stay out of those summaries.
Raw invoice text
Ask Reforno uses invoice totals and grouped costs. Original document text and individual line-item descriptions are excluded from its business summaries.
Other shops' data
Row-level security enforces shop ownership at the database. Ask Reforno's business summaries are scoped to your selected shop.
Invoice extraction is different: when you choose to extract an invoice, its text, PDF or image is sent to Anthropic to read the line items and totals. You can also enter invoices manually. Anything you type into Ask Reforno is sent with your question, so leave customer details out of the conversation.
How Ask Reforno actually works

Your question is sent to a secure server-side endpoint
Never directly from your browser to the AI. Reforno checks your sign-in and access to the selected shop first.

Business totals, with recent activity for context
Totals, channel splits and top items, plus recent activity such as dates and costs from the past week's shifts, help put your numbers in context. These are sent to Anthropic with your question and recent conversation.

The AI answers in plain English
Recent messages stay in your browser session for follow-up questions. Reforno does not save a chat transcript to its database.

Common questions
Straight answers about where your data goes, who can access it and what happens when you leave.
Your account and business data are stored in Supabase's database in Singapore. The website runs on Vercel. Ask Reforno sends business summaries and your conversation to Anthropic for answers; invoice extraction sends the document you submit. Processing is not limited to Australia.
Supabase Auth checks who you are. Database rules link each shop to its owner, and shop data is scoped by shop_id, so another owner cannot read your records. Authorised Reforno administration and server-side services have access to operate the platform. Privileged service-role keys stay on the server and are never sent to your browser.
Cancelling your subscription does not delete your account or shop data. If you need a copy, contact privacy@reforno.com.au to request an export before deleting your account. Account deletion is a separate action in Settings that permanently removes your account and associated shop data. See our Privacy Policy for retention details, including service-provider logs.
Reforno uses authenticated access, database rules that separate shop owners' records, and limited business summaries for Ask Reforno. These technical safeguards alone are not a certification of legal compliance. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, overseas processing and how to request access, correction or deletion. Shop owners remain responsible for having a lawful reason to upload their customers' information.
