Why the gross number is the wrong number to compare

Both Uber Eats and DoorDash show you gross order volume in their own dashboards. That number looks healthy. It is also not what arrives in your account.

Uber Eats typically charges independent pizza shops between 30-35% commission on each order. DoorDash rates vary but commonly sit between 30-33% for standard delivery. On a $50 order, that is $15-17.50 disappearing before you see a cent.

The channel that looks bigger in your Restoplus report is not always the one that leaves you more money. The only number worth comparing is net - after the platform has taken its share.
